Green Power: Landfill Gas Collection & Utilization Project
The Landfill Gas Collection and Utilization Project is a partnership between Halton Region and Oakville Hydro Energy Services Inc. to collect landfill gas and use it to produce electricity. The project will provide enough "green" energy to power approximately 1,500 homes.This video provides a vitual tour of the project facility, and explains the process and benefits of generating "green" energy using methane.
