Sister City to Neyagawa — 25th Anniversary
In October 2009, the Town of Oakville celebrated 25 years as a sister city to Neyagawa, Japan. To honour this special anniversary, the town planted a red maple tree at Neyagawa Park and unveiled a public art installation titled "Moose and Wolves" at Erchless Estate. On October 5, 2009, Town Council welcomed the Japanese Consul-General, Tetsuyo Yamashita, to exchange official greetings and extend gifts to the Neyagawa delegation. This video documents these moments to share with our friends in Neyagawa and the people of Oakville. We look forward to many more years of sharing knowledge, experiences and friendships.
