North Oakville Secondary Plan |
The North Oakville Secondary Plan is the largest secondary planning process currently taking shape in Ontario. It covers approximately 2,300 hectares of land, generally bordered by Dundas Street in the south, Sixteen Mile creek in the west, Ninth Line in the east and Highway 407 in the north.
The potential settlement includes around 600 hectares of land that have been designated as a Natural Heritage System (NHS) to ensure a sustainable natural environment, including wildlife linkages, for this area. Settlement negotiations have involved the Province of Ontario, Halton Region, the Town of Oakville, Conservation Halton and over a dozen landowners.
The Town of Oakville provides Town TV presentations in streaming media format. Streaming media offers an increased level of convenience, particularly for lower-speed internet connections, by eliminating the need for users to download an entire file before it can be presented. In addition to our live streams, all past presentations are archived on Town TV, ensuring easy, on-demand access with the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind.
